I am a Licensed Mental Health Therapist and Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor specializing in individual, couples and family therapy in Lafayette, IN. I received my Mental Health Counseling degree in 2002 from Purdue University, West Lafayette, and have been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) since 2004. I also became licensed as Clinical Addictions Counselor (LCAC) in 2011.
I have worked in community mental health much of my career in the Lafayette, IN area. I have engaged in mental health counseling with individuals of all ages. I’ve received training on a variety of therapy subjects including anger management, anxiety, couples counseling, substance usage issues, serious mental illness, and mood disorders. I have worked in schools counseling elementary up to high school age individuals. I have led a variety of groups, including groups for anger management and substance usage issues.
I often utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, as well as other approaches. Understanding ourselves, as well as understanding how we interact in our environment can help us to cope with difficult situations.
It is important to me that I hear each person, recognize their individual needs, and tailor our sessions to best meet their needs. I will make every effort to check in with you throughout your time in therapy and to ensure that you feel your needs are being sufficiently met.
